About Jennifer

Hi, I’m Jennifer!

"Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us." – David Richo

I believe our wounds aren’t detours from who we are—they are pathways that lead us deeper. Therapy, to me, is the sacred work of tending these tender places—not to erase them, but to explore what they reveal: your strengths, internal wisdom, and capacity to grow.

People come to therapy for many reasons: anxiety, panic, depression, or a moment of upheaval that leaves them feeling unmoored. Others arrive with no clear crisis, just a persistent sense that life could feel more aligned and meaningful. Whatever brings you here, I offer a warm, collaborative space to explore your story with curiosity and compassion. When we listen closely—especially to the parts of ourselves we’ve learned to hide—we create space for integration, insight, and transformation.

My path to this work wasn’t linear—it unfolded through detours, reinvention, and gradual discovery, much like the therapeutic process itself. Before becoming a therapist trainee, I worked in design and architectural sales—fields that honed my eye for patterns, deepened my listening, and taught me to hold complexity with care. A life-threatening illness in 2019 clarified my desire to move into a helping profession, bringing creativity and reverence for meaning-making into the heart of healing work.

Now, as I complete my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I bring a depth-oriented, integrative approach rooted in Jungian psychology. My work is experiential, somatic, and insight-driven—guided by curiosity, symbolic meaning, and a belief in the healing power of humor. I aim to meet you not just as a therapist, but as a witness to your unfolding story.

Outside the therapy room, I reconnect through dancing, writing, creating, spiritual practice, tending my urban farm, and attempting (with limited success) to convince my family we need ducks.

Note: Jennifer operates independently and is not employed by the Authentic Roots group.
