About Doug
I see life as a mosaic of experiences, and we all do the best we can with what we know at the time. Yet sometimes anxiety, depression, or everyday challenges can hold us back from living the fullest version of our story. My goal as a therapist is to help clients uncover their inner strengths so they can move through obstacles and enjoy more meaningful, productive lives and relationships.
Everyone regardless of life's stumbles deserves the best life they can imagine. My role is to walk alongside clients and support them on that journey.
I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University and am a Minnesota Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am trained in Narrative Therapy and hold certificates in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Gottman Systems Family Therapy. My therapeutic style is creative and intuitive, drawing from clients’ past and present to help them discover a future full of possibilities.
Over the past 10 years, my therapeutic experience has included supporting clients with family conflict, grief and loss, trauma, anger and aggression, foster care and parenting, blended families, anxiety, depression, addiction, sexuality (including LGBTQPIA+), and identity/self-image.
I am proud to have DP Robinson Therapy, PLLC associated with Authentic Roots Therapy, PLLC.
Note: Doug operates independently and is not employed by the Authentic Roots group.
